I'm Winnie! ❤️ I'm a 5-year-old, 45-pound Labradoodle, and everyone says I have the sweetest soul. My favorite job is being your little shadow. If you get up, I get up. If you're relaxing on the couch, I'll be right there too. I just love being close to my people. I'm house-trained, neutered, sleep through the night like a champ, and I know that toys and bones are for chewing—not your shoes. Stuffed toys are some of my favorites! I also get along great with other dogs, and I've even lived happily with cats before. If you already have a furry friend at home, I'd probably love the company. I'll be honest... I'm a sensitive guy. Thunderstorms, fireworks, and loud noises make me pretty nervous, and I can be a little shy around new men at first. But if you'll give me a little patience and kindness, I always come around. Once I trust you, you'll have a loyal best friend for life. Here's the part that's breaking everyone's heart... The family who's been fostering me for the past year loves me very much, but they're moving into a home that doesn't allow dogs. That means I have nowhere to go after this Saturday. I'm desperately looking for a foster or a foster-to-adopt home by Thursday or Friday of this week. I don't need perfection—I just need someone willing to give me a safe place, a little understanding, and a chance. If you've been thinking about fostering, maybe this is your sign. I promise to repay you with endless love, quiet companionship, and the sweetest doodle hugs. ❤️ Please help me find a soft place to land before this weekend. Even sharing my story could help me find my person. Winnie's adoption fee is $500 - obedience training is required after adoption and fully enclosed front or backyard is also required. Breed overview
Overview:
The Labradoodle is a charming and increasingly popular hybrid breed, originating in Australia in the late 1980s with the goal of creating a guide dog for a visually impaired individual allergic to dog hair. This delightful canine combines the best traits of its parent breeds: the intelligent Poodle (Standard) and the friendly Labrador Retriever. Physically, Labradoodles boast a range of sizes and coat types, from wavy fleece to curly wool, often shed-reduced, making them a potential option for individuals with mild allergies. Their coats come in various colors, including cream, chocolate, and black. Temperamentally, they are known for being sociable, intelligent, and trainable, making them excellent family pets. They thrive on human companionship and require moderate exercise to stay happy and healthy. While adaptable, their energy levels mean they generally prefer homes with yards over small apartments, though daily walks are essential. Common health considerations, inherited from their parent breeds, can include hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain cancers, so choosing a reputable breeder is crucial for a healthy companion.
