Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Tony T A572685 Meet Tony T! Tony may be a little underweight and dealing with some skin issues, but youâd never know it from his attitude. This sweet boy is simply happy to be here! He did well with his food and dog tests, and heâs currently on a feeding plan to help him get back to his best self. Tony is VERY food motivated (treats > toys for now), and he already knows sit and shake! Heâll chase a toy for a bit before deciding, âActually, Iâd rather have a snack.â He went potty right away and is a total sweetheart who loves affection. His favorite move? Resting his paw on you like heâs saying, âPlease donât stop petting me.â He also gave out some kisses Tony has already had his first medicated bath, and heâs looking for a family who will help him feel comfortable and healthy while his skin gets some TLC. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
