Description
Dog Breed: Corgi / Mixed (short coat). Sparrow is great with cats and dogs!! He loves to sit next to his human with his head in their lap as often as possible. He doesn’t like to chew or play with toys and hasn’t tried to destroy or play with anything. He gets playful with his human and likes to play tag or gotcha games. Sparrow knows the word “no” and listens to it well. He walks excellently on a leash. He reacts well to people and dogs on walks, letting people pet him and dogs smell him. He loves to be outside and is very curious to all sounds and smells. He barks at deer and if he could get at them, would probably chase them. He warms up to visitors to the house very nicely and eventually cuddles them too. ❤️ He does have some separation anxiety and doesn’t love his crate, but his fosters are working on both of those things. Sparrow is potty trained, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
