Dog Breed: Redbone Coonhound. I’m River! I’m a 2-year-old, 44-pound Coonhound/Redbone with the softest eyes and an even softer heart. If you believe in second chances and incredible glow-ups, my story is for you! When I first arrived, I was terrified of the world and really scared of people. It turns out my eyes were hurting me (a condition called entropion), but thanks to a successful corrective surgery, I can finally see comfortably—and I have completely blossomed! Now that I’m feeling good, I’ve discovered just how wonderful people are, and I love making new human and dog friends. I’m already house-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. It took a little healing, but I'm fully ready to start my next chapter. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle hound to fill your home with love, I’d love to meet you!
