Reba is a shy, nervous Golden Retriever who has a lot to learn about the world. She came to CPR as a breeder release and has never known life as a companion dog. She’s gentle, cautious, and easily startled — but underneath her fear is a sweet girl who wants to trust. Must have: A quiet, patient home with a secure fenced yard and ideally a confident dog to help her learn. Exercise: Low to medium — she enjoys exploring once she feels safe. Best with: Calm adults and a friendly role‑model dog. Not ideal for: Any home with children — Reba is fearful, noise‑sensitive, and has never met kids. Energy level: Low to medium — curious but cautious. Reba is working on house training and crate training. She is very shy with new people and needs slow, gentle introductions. She is good with dogs, especially calm, confident companions who can show her the ropes. She is sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements. Good with dogs: Yes — especially confident, gentle dogs. Good with kids: Not recommended. Cats: Unknown. Fun fact: Even though Reba is terrified, she has never been mean — her gentle heart shines through her fear.
