Dog Breed: Saint Bernard / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Meet Churro! ❤️ At just 7 months old, Churro is already a survivor—and she has the sweetest soul you could ever meet! This adorable St. Bernard mix is a tri-pod, but don't let that fool you. Three legs aren't slowing this girl down one bit! Churro started her life living outside and unfortunately suffered an old leg break that healed terribly. By the time she came to us, the injury could not be repaired, so amputation was the kindest option for her. And Churro? She simply got up and kept going! Now she's ready to put her rough beginning behind her and discover what it's like to be a spoiled family girl. ❤️ She loves being loved and is ready for a cozy couch, soft beds, yummy treats, and a family who will show her all the good things life has to offer. And remember—Churro is only 5 months old! She still has LOTS of growing to do, so this sweet girl is going to be a big, beautiful three-legged girl before you know it! She may have started life with hardship, but we're determined to make sure the rest of her story is filled with love, comfort, adventures, and SO much spoiling. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.
