Description
Dog Breed: Dachshund / Beagle / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 275. Meet Miss Minnie! Hi, I’m Miss Minnie, an approximately 8-month-old petite, pretty, little girl, approximately 18 lbs, with long legs, a big personality, and enough energy to keep you smiling all day long! If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, active companion, I just might be your girl. I love being outside, going on daily walks, playing ball, and keeping a close eye on the neighborhood during my very important squirrel patrols! ️ Because I’m such an active girl, I need a home with a securely fenced yard where I can run, play, and burn off some of my puppy energy. After I’ve had my fun outside, though, I’m more than happy to come inside and curl up on the couch with my people and my furry friends. ❤️ I absolutely love people and would happily spend my day getting attention, sitting in your lap, or playing with you. I also love children and enjoy being included in all kinds of activities. I get along well with other dogs and love having furry friends around. I came to my foster family after experiencing a traumatic tail injury that resulted in a tail amputation. But don’t let that worry you—it hasn’t slowed me down one bit! I’m doing well and have continued to be the happy, energetic, playful little girl that I am. I’m also a bit of an alarmist when someone comes to the door—Amazon deliveries are especially exciting! I’ll definitely let you know when someone arrives, but once I meet them, I’m happy to make friends. I simply believe it’s my job to announce all important visitors! I travel very well in my crate, although I’ll be honest: the crate is not my favorite place to spend my time. I’d much rather be outside exploring, hanging out with my people, playing with my fur siblings, or snuggling on the couch. I’m a fun-loving, affectionate, active little girl who is ready to find a family that will keep up with my energy and give me plenty of love, attention, playtime, and adventures. If you’re looking for a petite, sweet, long-legged girl who will bring energy, laughter, cuddles, and lots of joy into your home, I’d love to meet you! Love, Miss Minnie All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Doxle, an endearing hybrid of the Beagle and Dachshund, is a relatively new designer breed that emerged from the desire to combine the best traits of its parentage. Typically a small to medium-sized dog, Doxles often inherit the long, low body of the Dachshund with the floppy ears and distinctive coloring of the Beagle, though their appearance can vary. Their temperament is generally a delightful mix: the Beagle's friendly and curious nature blends with the Dachshund's loyalty and playful spirit, making them wonderful family companions. They are known for being affectionate and intelligent, though they can possess a stubborn streak and the Beagle's propensity for scent-following. Doxles adapt well to various living situations, including apartment living, provided they receive adequate daily exercise to manage their energy levels and prevent boredom. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of health concerns prevalent in their parent breeds, such as back issues (intervertebral disc disease) from the Dachshund side and epilepsy or ear infections from the Beagle.
