Dog Breed: Great Pyrenees / Border Collie / Mixed (long coat). Moenella is a sweet pup who is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon with an approved foster or adopter. Meet Moenella, an enchanting 4-month-old Pyrenees mix whose heart is as vast and joyful as her personality. This playful puppy dances through life with boundless energy, ready to turn any day into an adventure. Moenella is a charming combination of curiosity and calmness—zooming around the yard one moment and snuggling in your lap the next. Known to shower affection on people of all sizes, she’s a loyal companion who spreads smiles everywhere she goes. She loves her chew toys, befriends cats and dogs alike, and gels seamlessly with children, creating an ideal home atmosphere filled with laughter and love. Mom is a pyrenees/border collie and dad is a Pyrenees/pit mix so they will be a large dog Moenella is searching for a forever family that shares her zest for life. Her dream home is one where her spirited nature and gentle heart can flourish—perhaps with a backyard to explore or siblings (furred or human) to join in her playful antics. Dedicated to bringing joy to her family, Moenella is eager to learn and grow, making her a fantastic match for anyone who can invest time in teaching and nurturing her smart little spirit. If you’re ready for all the cuddles, curiosity, and companionship Moenella has to offer, she’s waiting to meet you with open paws and an open heart. She is fixed, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. Her adoption donation is $600. The Pyrenees Border Collie, a compelling hybrid of the intelligent Border Collie and the majestic Great Pyrenees, emerges as a fascinating and capable companion. Originating from combining these two distinct working breeds, its purpose is often to blend the herding prowess of the Border Collie with the guarding instincts of the Great Pyrenees. Physically, expect a medium-to-large dog, typically exhibiting a dense, weather-resistant coat, often in shades of black, white, merle, or tricolor, with a build that suggests both agility and strength. Temperamentally, they are generally loyal, intelligent, and protective, making them excellent family guardians. However, their intelligence also means they require consistent training and plenty of mental and physical stimulation to prevent boredom. While their protective nature can be wonderful for families, early socialization is crucial. Due to their size and need for exercise, they are not typically suited for apartment living and thrive in homes with ample outdoor space. Health-wise, they can be predisposed to conditions affecting their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, and eye conditions, so responsible breeding practices are vital.
