Description
Dog Breed: Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Stormy is a sweet, people-adoring Black Lab mix born about February, 2026. He is learning how to walk on a leash, house training, and his basic doggie good manners. Stormy was found as a stray, and so is a bit shy around new people and in new surroundings. But once he feels comfortable, he’s funny, interactive, and a loving guy. Stormy is very friendly with other dogs and cats in the house. He’s going to grow into a big, goofy, human-focused Lab that you can’t help but love. Stormy has had all of his puppy vaccinations and is neutered. He’s ready to be a best friend to all. Adoption fee $50. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
