Dapper is currently being fostered in the city and is thriving. He loves his walks, takes in the sights like a seasoned New Yorker, and rides beautifully in the car. At home, he’s working on his crate skills and doing great for such a young pup. He’s curious, affectionate, and has that perfect mix of puppy silliness and sweet snuggle energy. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
