Dog Breed: Terrier / Jack Russell Terrier. Meet Taylor, aka TayTay TayTay is the sweet mama of our Eras Litter, and with her puppies getting closer to leaving the nest, we think it’s officially time to start looking for the family waiting for her. First, obviously, we need to discuss the underbite. TayTay has the most adorable scruffy terrier face, complete with a tiny underbite that regularly leaves her bottom teeth on display. It is ridiculous. It is perfect. And yes, it absolutely adds to her charm. But TayTay is so much more than that adorable little face. She is sweet, gentle, affectionate, and becoming more comfortable with people every day. She gets excited when her people come into the room, greets us with tail wags, seeks out attention, and has recently discovered that giving kisses is pretty great. Watching her personality come out has been one of our favorite parts of having her here. TayTay came to us from a hoarding situation, so she can still be nervous when something or someone is unfamiliar. Her response is generally to freeze or retreat rather than react, and she needs a family who will give her a little time to settle in and learn that she is safe. Once she trusts you, though, there is a very sweet little dog waiting underneath that initial uncertainty. We think TayTay would do best with adults or older, respectful kids who understand that she may need a little time to warm up. She doesn't need a special training plan or an experienced behavior person. She needs patience, consistency, kindness, and people who will let her build confidence at her own pace. She enjoys the company of other dogs, she has met several sizes of dogs and has done well! And we have a feeling that once she's done being Mama TayTay and finally gets to be someone's baby herself, we're going to see even more of her personality come shining through. TayTay is still finishing up her mom duties and will remain with her puppies until they're ready to leave the nest. Our dream is to find her family now, so when that day comes, she can go straight from raising her babies to starting the rest of her life. She raised her babies. She learned to trust. She discovered kisses. Now it's time for TayTay's Era. And yes, the underbite comes with her. pipsrescue/adopt
