Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Sweet Tea is our baby faced little golden girl. We think she is about 1 year old and with the energy and enthusiasm she has she would agree! She loves going for her walks and is great at bringing her toys back to you when you play fetch. She seems very friendly with other dogs and is just happy to be a part of whatever adventure you have planned for her! She is so happy to give and receive love from her people, and with such a sweet little face it’s impossible not to give it to her! Come meet this little lady quick before she’s gone. The dogs are in fact living in a kennel environment during their time with us. Even if they have previously lived in a home and been trained - the stress of the change and the new home can sometimes cause regression and require some additional training. All animals come spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. If the animals age or health prevents any of these from being completed prior to adoption a voucher is issued for the services to be performed. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
