Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Mille Lacs (Millie) is a sweet, fun-loving blue heeler mix pup with beautiful markings. She loves to wrestle around with her siblings as well as run around the backyard to explore. She knows how to sit already and is learning to lie down for treats. She is currently doing very well with pee pads and the transition to being house trained, during which she goes bathroom outside shortly after exiting the house. She has done very well meeting other people and has seemed indifferent to the one neighboring dog so far. She has had a non-aggressive approach to the cats in the house, rather just curious at this point. At times, she will approach to be picked up and just snuggle on my lap. She would be best in a home that will allow her to use her heeler energy as she continues to grow. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $625.00

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
