Dog Breed: Redbone Coonhound / Saint Bernard / Mixed (medium coat). Buddy is an 8-month-old Redbone Hound who is one seriously cute, big boy! He came to us as part of a humane investigation case, and unfortunately, his early start in life meant he missed out on many of the experiences and lessons that puppies typically get when they’re young.Because of that, Buddy may need some extra help learning things like housebreaking, leash walking, and basic training. But don’t let that scare you! Buddy is learning more every day at the shelter, and he’s showing us that he’s ready to keep growing and learning.Buddy is also good with other dogs, and his sweet, goofy personality makes him hard not to love. He’s still a young dog with so much potential, and the right family can help him discover all the fun things he’s been missing.If you have the patience, time, and love to help a big goofy puppy learn how to be the best dog he can be, Buddy is ready for his next chapter.Come meet Buddy and give this sweet boy the fresh start he deserves! Puppy classes are highly recommended for socialization and a positive transition into your home. Puppies love to learn how to be the best dog for your family! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. Your puppy’s adoption fee includes: - Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella) - Heartworm Tested - Current on NexGard PLUS Monthly Preventative Chew (Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative & Dewormer) - Spaying or Neutering - 24-Petwatch Microchip Adoption fee: $185.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2026 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $11.30. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$9.30) All dog adoptions come with free leash and collar.
