Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 375. Clover is a precious 3-week-old little girl who is just beginning to discover the world around her. She spends her days nursing, snuggling with her littermates, sleeping, and becoming a little more curious each day. Sweet, tiny, and absolutely adorable, Clover has her whole life ahead of her! ♥️ These beautiful babies and their mama, Caramel , have already overcome so much. Their family moved away and left Caramel behind, pregnant and alone in the Texas summer heat, where she was forced to give birth and care for her newborn puppies on her own. Thankfully, this little family is now safe, loved, and thriving in foster care. The puppies are right at 3 weeks old and are officially available for pre-adoption , with an anticipated release date of September 19th . Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
