Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie. Kiki is a precious little Yorkie looking for a loving forever home. And when we say little, we mean really little! This darling boy may be shy when you first meet him, but it won’t take long for him to warm up. Once he does, Kiki wants nothing more than to be close to his person and soak up all the love. Kiki has lived with another small dog but has never been around children. Because of his tiny size, a home with older children or adults who understand how delicate he is would be best. Like many very small dogs, Kiki can easily get underfoot, so his family will need to be especially mindful of where he is. Kiki will also need regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. He recently had a dental procedure and lost quite a few teeth, but don’t let that worry you—he has no trouble eating! Kiki’s foster mom would like him to have a securely fenced yard for his safety. He is currently in a foster home, so he does not attend every adoption event. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
