Junior – Black Male, 2 years, 85 lbs. BREAKING NEWS! Junior’s foster has a BIG problem… She’s sending out an URGENT PLEA for a fast adoption because apparently she has made the terrible mistake of fostering a dog who is WAY TOO PERFECT to give back! ❤️ Here’s the conversation: Foster: “I’m going to need another foster for Junior ASAP!” Director: “Oh no! Why?!” Foster: “Because if he doesn’t leave soon, HE’S NEVER GOING TO! This dog is perfect in every way!” And then she proceeded to tell us why Junior NEEDS TO GO before she decides he’s hers! Food friendly — no drama around his meals! Great on a leash Has already figured out the doggy door Completely laid back Loves EVERY human he meets Absolutely lights up when he hears children’s voices ❤️ Rides beautifully in the car And apparently, he has decided that foster pups make excellent chew toys because he patiently allows them to climb all over him! HE NEEDS TO GO!! Junior is 2 years old and approximately 85 pounds of big, lovable Labby goodness. He’s easygoing, affectionate, social and just seems to roll with whatever life throws at him. We do not know how Junior is with felines as the foster has none. But honestly… it sounds like his foster has already fallen hard for this big boy. ❤️ So before she starts hiding the adoption applications and changing his name to “My Dog Junior”… LET’S FIND THIS BOY A HOME! ❤️ If Junior sounds like your kind of dog, please fill out an adoption application and ask for Junior. Because apparently his foster needs some intervention. Adopt Junior. Save his foster. Everybody wins. ❤️ .labrescuefresno If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website .LabRescueFresno All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped. Overview:
The Labrador Retriever, a beloved and highly popular breed, originated in Newfoundland, Canada, where they were initially bred to assist fishermen by retrieving nets and stray fish. Physically, they are medium-to-large dogs, known for their strong, athletic build, short, dense, weather-resistant double coat (commonly seen in black, yellow, or chocolate), and their distinctive "otter" tail. Temperamentally, Labs are celebrated for their friendly, outgoing, and good-natured disposition, making them exceptional family companions. Their intelligence and eagerness to please contribute to their trainability, though they do require consistent exercise to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. While adaptable, their energy levels make them more suited to homes with yards, or highly active families, rather than apartment living, unless daily extensive exercise is guaranteed. Regarding health, Labs can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia, and some eye conditions, so responsible breeding practices are crucial. Overall, their loyalty, versatility, and affectionate nature firmly establish the Labrador Retriever as a wonderful addition to many households.
