This handsome bully mix is around 3 years old, weighs 62 pounds, and has mastered the art of being both a goofy best friend and a devoted companion. Rupert is completely house-trained, crate-trained, and an all-around gentleman in the home. He happily trots into his crate for a treat, settles quietly, and has never had an accident in his foster home. He knows several commands, including sit, shake, down, and wait, and has impressed his foster family with how quickly he adapted to home life after leaving the shelter. While Rupert can be a little cautious when meeting new people, he doesn't take long to warm up. Offer him a hot dog or toss a ball his way, and you'll likely have a friend for life. Once you've earned his trust, Rupert's affectionate, loyal nature shines through. He loves being close to his people and would make an incredible companion for someone who appreciates the devoted personality that mastiff-type dogs are known for. Speaking of balls, BALL. IS. LIFE. Rupert's favorite hobby, favorite toy, and favorite pastime all involve a ball. Whether he's playing fetch, showing off his catching skills, or simply lounging in the yard chewing on his latest prized possession, Rupert is at his happiest when a ball is nearby. Rupert would do best as an only pet or with a compatible canine companion after a proper introduction. He coexists and plays beautifully with the 5 month old puppy in his foster home. Rupert's foster family describes him as sweet, loyal, and an absolute ham. He loves rolling in the grass, dramatically flopping onto his back for belly rubs. Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
