Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Ludwig! Ludwig is the most lovable little pup! He lives to love and be loved in return. He wants to be wherever we are enjoys following his new hound friends around. He plays hard and snuggles even harder. Ludwig loves bones, stuffed toys, and the sound of a bag of chips opening, lol. He is learning how to walk on a leash and becomes a little more comfortable with it every day. He does great in his crate, sleeping through the night without making a peep. Ludwig is an amazing little guy who is busy being a curious little pup! He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Ludwig is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT LUDWIG!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
