Description
Dog Breed: Jack Russell Terrier / Chihuahua / Mixed (medium coat). PLAYFUL AND FEISTY DOB 5/6/26, weight up to 15 lb. at maturity Hey there, everyone! I’m Lola, a very sweet, feisty, and very playful wire-coated Russell Terrier mix gal who looks like a plush toy come to life! I may have some Chihuahua mixed in because I’m mostly black with white paws and vest, and Russell Terriers are always mostly white with black markings. My dark, almond-shaped eyes and mobile V-shaped ears exhibit the Russell’s hallmark intelligent expression. I have an adorable personality –although I rarely like to be held -- and I love to run and have fun. Although I’d probably be good around kids, Foster Meowmy prefers my forever family to be toddler-free. I’d probably be good around cats, but I can’t promise that I wouldn’t chase them! Foster Mommy noticed that my sisters, Lili and Luna, and I were kept outside by my owners. After expressing her concern to them that we weren’t meant to be strictly outdoor dogs, she was able to persuade them to surrender us to her. They admitted that they couldn’t financially afford to keep us anyway. I weighed 8 pounds at 3 months old and should weigh up to 15 pounds at maturity. Now I’m ready to become the jaunty, lively new addition to my forever family. In fact, I dream about running around in the backyard with everyone and then collapsing in their laps while we watch TV together. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today! I promise we’ll fall head over paws in love with each other the instant we meet! HOPE ID D26-0624-0028 Lola’s $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. More About Jack Chi BreedOverview:
The Jack Chi is a delightful designer breed, a cross between the spirited Chihuahua and the energetic Jack Russell Terrier. Originating from the desire to combine the best traits of both parents, this hybrid typically inherits a compact size, weighing between 8-18 pounds and standing 10-15 inches tall. Their physical appearance varies, often featuring a short, smooth coat in colors like black, white, tan, or a combination, with alert, intelligent eyes. Temperamentally, Jack Chis are known for being playful, intelligent, and loyal companions. They possess the Chihuahua's affectionate nature and the Jack Russell's zest for life, making them engaging pets. While adaptable to apartment living due to their smaller stature, they require regular exercise and mental stimulation to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. They can be good with families who understand their need for consistent training and socialization, especially with younger children. Notable health considerations for the Jack Chi include potential predispositions to conditions seen in their parent breeds, such as patellar luxation, dental issues, and heart problems, highlighting the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary care.
