Description
Dog Breed: Dachshund / Chihuahua / Mixed. Available for Adoption! Meet Natasha! Natasha’s story is one of strength, love, and resilience. She was found as a stray, pregnant and only about 1–2 weeks away from giving birth. She had a difficult time, but thankfully delivered three healthy puppies and was an absolutely wonderful, devoted mama. Now that her puppies are grown, it’s finally Natasha’s turn to find the loving forever home she deserves. Natasha is truly a kind-hearted girl. She is sweet, loving, gentle, obedient, well-behaved, and such a happy dog. She absolutely loves everyone she meets, makes friends quickly, and is respectful and friendly with other dogs. When Natasha looks up at you with those loving eyes, you can see just how much she wants to be loved and cherished for the rest of her life. She deserves a family who will give her the same unconditional love and devotion that she has given to her puppies and everyone around her. Natasha loves spending time outside, playing with her doggy friends, and soaking up the sunshine when the weather isn’t too hot. She is the perfect size, has an amazing temperament, and would fit beautifully into just about any family setting. A home with a yard would be wonderful for her, and she would enjoy having another furry sibling, but not a requirement. She is crate trained, potty trained with us, needs more leash training, good with children, and good with all dogs. We also believe she should do well with cats with a proper introduction, as she has such a gentle and kind nature. Natasha is ready for her happily-ever-after. After everything she has been through, this sweet mama deserves a family who will show her just how wonderful life can be. If you think Natasha could be your girl, please reach out to learn more about her and give this beautiful, loving dog the forever home she has been waiting for. She has had a vet visit, is spayed, Microchipped, UTD on all vaccinations, had a 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), 2 dewormings, and a 1 fecal test. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa, AZ., near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours 7 days a week. Private message if interested!

Breed overview
Overview:
The Chiweenie, an adorable and increasingly popular designer breed, is a delightful cross between the spirited Chihuahua and the charming Dachshund. Originating in the United States, these small companions inherited a unique blend of traits from their parent breeds. Physically, they typically possess a long, low body reminiscent of the Dachshund, combined with the often-large ears and expressive eyes of the Chihuahua. Their coats can vary widely in color and texture, from short and smooth to long and wiry. Temperamentally, Chiweenies are known for being loyal, affectionate, and surprisingly energetic. They often exhibit a playful and sometimes stubborn streak, making early socialization and training beneficial. Their small size makes them well-suited for apartment living and families with older children or individuals seeking a devoted lapdog. While generally robust, potential health considerations include issues common to their parent breeds, such as patellar luxation and intervertebral disc disease, making regular veterinary check-ups important for their long-term well-being.
