Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Available for Adoption: Meet Palmer!! Palmer came to us as a stray. Unfortunately he was not microchipped. He is a fun, happy, bubbly little guy with an adorable personality. He loves people and simply wants to love and be loved. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate, gentle, well-behaved, and a true joy to be around. His friendly nature and cheerful spirit make him an easy companion for just about any home. Palmer is crate trained, potty trained & leash trained. He gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, and dogs of all sizes. He has excellent manners, is obedient, and is always ready for his next adventure or a cuddle on the couch. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Palmer won't just be gaining a pet—they'll be welcoming a loyal, loving best friend into their family for years to come. Could that family be yours? He has had 2 vet visits, is neutered, Microchipped, UTD on all vaccinations, had a 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), 2 dewormings, and a 1 fecal tests. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa, AZ., near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
