Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. Dutch (AL) is the kind of puppy who stops you in your tracks—because once you see those giant, satellitedish ears and those gorgeous, soulful eyes, you’re done. Game over. Heart stolen. This 3monthold Shepherd mix was rescued as a stray, and somehow he already radiates joy like he’s been waiting his whole little life to meet you. He’s a happy, fun, friendly boy who greets the world with a tail wag that could power a small town. Dutch loves people, adores other dogs, and carries himself with that irresistible “I’m ready for adventure—what’s next?” energy. Whether he’s trotting proudly with his oversized ears bouncing or curling up beside you with a contented sigh, he’s pure sweetness wrapped in puppy fluff. Dutch is handsome, bright, eager to learn, and so ready for a family who will love him forever. If you’ve been wishing for a puppy who brings sunshine wherever he goes, Dutch is waiting. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
