Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Nova is pure puppy. She is playful, curious and very affectionate. She is smart little girl and learned the dog door on the first try. She enjoys her meals and snacks , which is very helpful in training. She is happy to help you with any task involving the hose and water. Nova can be very shy and unsure when meeting new people and dogs. She is working on building her confidence. She does really like other dogs and wants to play. I think she would do well with a friend. Nova gets the zoomies and wants to run at high speeds and a fenced yard would be really wonderful for her. Continued obedience training will be necessary, as she needs to improve her manners. She is working on leash skills and teething on toys not people. She is crate trained and sleeps all night without issues. Potty training continues slowly but is at about 75% success to date. Nova wants to be where you are and will ask for hugs and kisses throughout the day. She makes cute grunting sounds when eating and playing with her toys. She likes watching TV and helping you relax on the sofa. I hope this little girl finds a great fit in her forever home. Please email the foster directly for all inquiries: Samanthalexanderhotmail

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
