Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Mixed (short coat). Meet Dinka! Are you looking for a loyal shadow with a heart of gold? Meet Dinka, a 5-year-old sweetheart who is ready to find her forever family. Dinka is a gentle soul with a very sweet disposition, and once she knows she is safe she will be your very best friend. She is the perfect size to be your walking/hiking buddy. Dinka stands 17 inches at her shoulder and is 20 inches from neck base to tail. Weight is currently at 32 lbs which seems to be the best weight for her size. She’s quite elegant looking and always receives compliments when out and about. What Dinka Loves: Outdoor Adventures! Dinka is a big fan of walks and does quite well on leash She needs a secure yard where she can run, stretch her legs, and play to her heart's content. She loves to take a favorite toy into the yard and run about squeaking it loudly. Shes great in the car and loves to go for rides. Playtime! She is a big fan of toys and knows how to keep herself entertained. She does love to play indoor games with you also. She’s treat motivated and ready to learn Calm Canine Friends! She would thrive in a home that already has another calm, balanced dog to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence. However, she will be very happy to be your shadow. Her Journey & Training: Like many rescue pups, Dinka is on a bit of a growth journey. She can be shy around strangers and is very wary of sudden movements, which means she would not be suitable for a home with small children. However, she has a resilient spirit and is making wonderful progress:She is actively working on her separation anxiety and has already made great improvements. Interestingly, she is brave when it comes to household and outdoor commotion—she is not afraid of loud noises or vacuums! Thunder, fireworks, etc don’t bother her at all. The Ideal Home: A quiet, predictable, no small children household (kids over 10 are ok) with a fenced yard, a patient, experienced owner, and possibly a calm resident dog will give Dinka the safe space she needs to truly blossom. As stated, Dinka is working on separation anxiety and will need someone to be home with her most of the time or be taken with. She has never been destructive in any way. If you have the patience and love to help Dinka complete her transformation into a confident companion, she will reward you with companionship and her truly joyful spirit. Dinka is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.
