Dog Breed: Chihuahua (short coat). Adoption Fee: 450. Meet our delightful little 6 pound, 2 year old girl, Missy! This little ball of joy has a fun-loving sparkle in her eyes and it shines through when she's romping with other dogs of all sizes! She is also great with cats and kids and she can cuddle up with her people like a champ! As you can see Missy would be a fantastic addition to any home! Sadly, Missy was found as a stray and no one ever came for her, but this sweetie is now ready to be claimed for a new home where she will adored and safe! What else does Missy like besides playing with other dogs and snuggling with her people? Car rides, toys, sunbathing, walks and living in a forever home. She may be small but as the saying goes....she is mighty. Mighty lovable, mighty entertaining, mighty cheerful, mighty cuddly and mighty amazing! She is crate trained and almost potty trained! We would love for her to have a fenced in yard to get her zoomies out and possibly a doggy friend to play and snuggle with. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!

Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers.
