Benka is a 5-year-old Treeing Walker Hound weighing about 45 lbs. She has the most beautiful long legs and ears—and yes, she absolutely has the classic hound howl. When Benka decides she needs some attention, she has no problem letting you know! She’s an active girl who enjoys getting out and exploring, but once the fun is over, she’s more than happy to settle in for some snuggles. Benka is incredibly smart and has been picking up new tricks and leash walking quickly. She’s eager to learn and loves having something to do. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter.
