Description

Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Bruno, the Shepherd mix puppy. Bruno arrived to the Shelter as a stray so we don’t know much about his life before now. He has been an exuberant guy with lots of energy – enjoying zooming around the exercise yards at the Shelter. Bruno has solicited play from other dogs but can be a little forward in his greeting – coming in really quickly and abruptly, which can be off-putting to some dogs. Any resident dogs should meet at the Shelter prior to adoption to ensure that they dogs are compatible. Bruno would not thrive at a dog park or dog beach at this time until he gains some dog-to-dog socialization skills. As a young teen, adopters should plan to bond with Bruno through positive reinforcement based training to help him grown into a good canine citizen. We do not have any history of Bruno with felines or children. Bruno is available for pre-adoption. Come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
