Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Casper, a housebroken and neutered 45 pound love bug who wants nothing more than to be around and show affection for people. Casper is a friendly and outgoing boy who we estimate is 2-3 years old. Casper seems indifferent to both cats and other dogs, and with proper introductions and boundary setting, could easily do well in a home with a canine brother or sister. Casper pulls a bit on a leash, but improves each time he goes for a walk with one of the volunteers. He is extremely obedient and follows commands willingly. He is very treat-motivated, which should make additional training quite easy. This sweet boy has certainly won the hearts of many volunteers and we can’t wait to see him find the best home.. Here is the adoption process: To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $100 fee for any county animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier. Thank you for considering a homeless animal.
