Dog Breed: Dachshund / Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Meet Sable Tiny body. Big personality. An absolutely unreasonable number of kisses. That pretty much sums up our little Sable. Sable is a miniature Dachshund who may have just a smidge of something else mixed in—perhaps Chihuahua—but whatever went into creating this tiny girl, the recipe turned out pretty darn perfect. Sable came to us with her siblings from a home where the dogs had been used for breeding. When they first arrived, they were incredibly fearful and unsure of the humans around them. But it only took a few days of kindness, patience, and affection for these little ones to realize something wonderful was happening. Love? For us? Yes, please! And Sable has been enthusiastically accepting it ever since. She is the tiniest little thing with a personality that seems far too big to fit inside her miniature body. One minute she’s covering you in kisses, and the next she has launched into one of her completely random—and surprisingly lengthy—zoomie sessions. Where is she going? Nobody knows. Does Sable know? Probably not. But she is committed to the journey. After everything she has experienced, watching this girl discover how much fun life can be is pretty magical. She has just enough sass to keep things interesting, plenty of silly packed into that long little body, and underneath it all is pure, wholehearted love.
