Marshmallow was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where dogs are kept for production rather than loved as companions. After spending years in an environment where comfort, affection, and individual care were never guaranteed, Marshmallow is finally safe and has the opportunity to begin a completely new chapter. At only 5 lbs, Marshmallow is an incredibly tiny little boy who deserves all the comforts he missed out on before — a warm bed, a safe home, and a family who will give him the patience and love he needs as he adjusts to his new life. Marshmallow has already made an incredible journey. Now he just needs the most important part: a forever family to call his own. ❤️ Adoption Information Marshmallow’s adoption fee is $1,595, a non-refundable donation that helps support Ginger’s Pet Rescue’s ongoing rescue efforts. Overview:
The elegant Maltese is a delightful toy breed renowned for its captivating beauty and charming personality. Originating from the island of Malta, these ancient dogs were once favored companions of European nobility. Physically, they are characterized by their single coat of long, silky, pure white hair that gracefully drapes over a compact, well-proportioned body, typically weighing between 4-7 pounds. Their expressive dark eyes and black button nose add to their adorable appeal. Temperamentally, Maltese are known for being affectionate, playful, and intelligent, making them highly trainable and eager to please. They thrive on human companionship and are generally excellent with children and other pets, provided they are socialized early. Their small size and relatively low exercise requirements make them ideal for apartment living and suitable for families of all types, including first-time dog owners. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of common breed-specific concerns such as dental issues and luxating patellas.
