Dog Breed: Dachshund / Corgi / Mixed. Scampy is a 16.5-year-old Dachshund/Corgi mix with a little body, a big personality, and so much love to give! This sweet senior is looking for a cozy retirement home where he can enjoy leisurely walks, plenty of attention, and lots of couch cuddles. After losing his person and ending up in a shelter, Scampy is ready for a fresh start. He may take a minute or two to warm up, but once he does, he’ll happily follow you from room to room. He’s silly, affectionate, loves snacks, and even jumps for treats. And did we mention he’s toothless? That just makes his adorable little face even more charming! Scampy gets along well with dogs and cats and is crate trained. He’s still working on house training but is making good progress. Because small children can be unpredictable and overwhelming for him, he’d do best with older kids (12+) or adults. If you’re looking for a low-key little companion to share your days and your couch, Scampy may be your perfect match! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100.
