Description
Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed (short coat). Meet Savanah! This sweet two year-old hound mix is ready to find her forever home. She is equal parts, fun, loving adventure and world class cuddle bug. Here is what makes Savannah such an amazing companion: She is sweet and gentle, she loves being wherever you are and will gladly be your shadow throughout the day. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs loves running in the yard and is great sharing her favorite chew toys. She also showed no interest or aggression in cats. She is fully house trained. She will whimper at the door to go outside and do her business. As far as crate training goes, she’s a pro. While she might give you a brief, do I have to look before you have to nudge her into her crate once inside she settles down and sleeps peacefully through the night. If you’re looking for a gentle affectionate hound with a heart of gold and great playful energy I think you found your perfect match. Apply at projecthopearf

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
