Mizzie is a 13-year-old female who is as sweet as she is gorgeous. Sadly, her beloved owner passed away, leaving Mizzie without the family she had always known. Her extended family stepped up to foster her, but they aren’t able to keep her permanently. Now, Mizzie is hoping someone will open their heart and give this deserving girl the loving forever home she needs. Mizzie is healthy, fully vetted, and recently had a dental, so she is all ready to start her next chapter! She absolutely loves being around people and would happily spend her days right by your side. And if you’re looking for a professional lap dog, Mizzie may be your girl! ❤️ She is kennel trained and potty trained, making her an easy companion. The Shih Tzu, affectionately known as the "lion dog," boasts an ancient and regal lineage, originating from the Tibetan plateau and further refined in imperial China. These charming canines are easily recognized by their striking appearance: a small, sturdy build, a distinctive undershot jaw, and a long, flowing double coat that often requires regular grooming to prevent matting. Temperamentally, Shih Tzus are renowned for being affectionate, outgoing, and playful companions, making them wonderfully suitable for a variety of households. Their adaptable and generally good-natured disposition means they often thrive in families with children and are particularly well-suited for apartment living due to their modest exercise requirements.
