Dog Breed: West Highland White Terrier Westie / Corgi / Mixed (short coat). Meet this fabulous little girl! She appears to be a Westie mix, is about 1 year old, and weighs approximately 17 pounds. And let us tell you—she is absolutely fabulous! ✨ She is potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and once she feels comfortable, she is a wonderful little companion. She’s smart, sweet, and has so much potential to become your very best friend. There is just one important thing you need to know about her: she takes time to warm up. She isn’t the type of dog who will immediately run up to a new person and act like they’ve been best friends forever. She needs patience, consistency, and most importantly, someone who is willing to give her at least 30 days to truly feel safe and comfortable with you. If you’re looking for an instant connection, she may not be the right match. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
