Dog Breed: Cairn Terrier / Mixed. This pup will be available to meet starting on 9/14 Foster notes - We LOVE Charizard. Oh my goodness he’s just the sweetest happiest little guy. He became instant friends with my resident dog. He slept in his crate all night with no peeps. He loves my kids (age 8 and 6), rode home in the car nicely wanting to look out the window, and is fine around my cats. He is mostly potty trained, we’re working on breaking the marking habit since he’s recently neutered but for the most part I think he understands. He walks nicely on a leash. He’s got the puppy spunk still with tail always happily wagging, but seems to be past the puppy chewing stage. He tolerated getting a bath without complaint. My kids stuffed animals seem to be safe. He seems as if he’s been in homes and cars before, I just can’t imagine how anyone let this guy go! He’s perfect little dog size. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by using the link in their approval email. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees are non refundable once a pet is taken home. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up in Colorado, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances delaying pick up. Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
