Dog Breed: Border Collie / Australian Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). HARRIET IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OUTSIDE A 30 MINUTE RADIUS OF DES MOINES UNTIL AFTER OCTOBER 15 DUE TO HER VETTING REQUIRMENT. Harriet is a 10-week-old, female, possible Border Collie/Australian Shepard mix that weighs about 10 lbs. Shee will likely be a medium to large dog when full grown. Harriet and her 6 siblings came from Oklahoma in mid-August. She is a sweet puppy that loves attention and loves to be held and snuggled. Harriet loves toys and playing with her siblings. She has access to a kiddie pool, and enjoys the occasional dip on a hot day. She is a wonderful mix of sweet and energetic. Harriet would do well as a single dog or with another dog. She has not met cats or kids, but with proper introductions and guidance, she should do well with all. Harriet will need introduced to leash, kennel, and house training in her new home.
