Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie (medium coat). Meet Leyla! Leyla is a lovely little Yorkie, around 9-10 years old. She has so much spunk and zest for life left in her! She’s really come out of her shell in her foster home and is quite an adorable ball of energy. Leyla is a little velcro dog who likes to be with you all the time. She is fine with other dogs but not that interested in them. As long as her humans are around, she is happy. She is a bit timid on walks but getting better. A more quiet neighborhood is probably best for her. She has a little bit of separation anxiety and may cry in her crate for a few minutes when you leave the house. She will settle after a little while. She would probably prefer to go everywhere with you. She had a thorough check up, including a dental and is in good shape. She is vaccinated, chipped and spayed also. Leyla is a little love bug! Her adoption fee is $395 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
