Complete an application at .carolinapoodlerescue/application Foster location: Foster Home in Cary, NC Weight: 7 lbs and growing - we estimate Kelly will be between 35-40 lbs when full grown Height: 5 in and growing - we estimate Kelly will be between 18-24 inches when full grown Spayed/Neutered: No - Kelly is too young to be spayed. She will be adopted on a spay/neuter addendum that requires you to spay her at your cost within 12 months and provide proof of spay. Here's Your Quick Peek: Kelly and three of her siblings arrived in rescue at 8.5 weeks old. Her mom is an American Standard Poodle, and we have no idea who dad is. Kelly has plenty of personality and loves being around people. She is playful, curious, affectionate, and always ready to see what is happening around her. If she will be an only dog, her family must provide regular opportunities for her to socialize and play with other dogs. Kelly is not afraid of big or small dogs and enjoys playing with both. A securely fenced yard is required. Exercise: Kelly is a young puppy, so she is either busy playing and exploring or ready for a nap and some cuddles! She needs lots of physical and mental stimulation every day. Kelly loves her play mats and toys and can entertain herself for a while. She especially enjoys exploring the backyard and discovering new things. Best with: Other friendly, playful dogs; lots of attention and companionship; a family who enjoys an active puppy; a family committed to training and socialization; a securely fenced yard; and a family who wants to include her in everyday adventures. Kelly would love to be a go-everywhere companion and enjoys being outside and going for walks. Not ideal for: Kelly would not be the best match for a low-energy family, a home that doesn't want to put the time and effort into training and socializing a puppy, or a family where she would be left alone for long periods. She is also not appropriate for a home with allergies or concerns over a dog that sheds. Energy level: HIGH Kelly loves playing with people and dogs, but she also has a little independent streak. Give her some toys and she can happily entertain herself for a while. Kelly is a happy, active puppy who is still learning about the world. House training is a work in progress, but she is doing well so far. Leash training is new, and she has had minimal experience with car rides - but she has enjoyed them so far. She is ready to learn, grow, and become a wonderful lifelong companion! Kelly is looking for a family who will enjoy watching her grow and discovering all the personality she has to offer. She wants to play, explore, learn, cuddle, and be part of the family. If you're looking for a playful, curious, affectionate puppy with a fun independent streak, Kelly may be the perfect little girl for you! Good with dogs: Yes! Kelly loves dogs and enjoys having canine friends. If she is an only dog, regular playdates and socialization will be important. Kelly is in a foster home where there are no cats. Fun fact: Kelly loves to be carried around and enjoys playing in the backyard. She is a curious little explorer and sometimes entertains herself investigating the plants. Her family will need to make sure there are no poisonous or unsafe plants where Kelly can reach them. And one of Kelly's cutest qualities? She actually enjoys having her teeth brushed! She also enjoys her nightly cleanup routine, which is pretty impressive for such a young puppy.
