Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Hello! My name's Skye! Weight 38.8# I will need to be placed in a home with older kids. I'm a nervous nelly when it comes to first dates so give me a little patience and I'll blossom. I have a blast running around outside and playing with my favorite toys. When someone brings out tennis balls, I turn into a D1 athlete and LOVE playing fetch! I LOVE my doggie friends and wouldn't mind going home with another dog. I tend to get a lot of confidence when I'm with dogs, so it can be helpful going home with another dog, but it's not a requirement.

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
