Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 450. Meet LouLou! Professional toy enthusiast. Part-time zoomie champion. Full-time cuddle bug! Lou Lou is an adorable 2 month old terrier mix with a big personality packed into one seriously cute little body! At a petite 11 pounds (likely around 20 lbs when full grown) she is a ball of energy and joy! She loves her people and is happiest when she’s right in the middle of the action. This playful girl is friendly with other dogs and loves toys, running around, and showing off her puppy energy. Once she’s had her fun, though, Lou Lou is more than ready to curl up next to her favorite people for some serious snuggle time. She’s working hard on her puppy manners and already knows some basic commands. She’s also making great progress with potty training—stick to a consistent schedule and she’s accident free! Lou Lou is sweet, silly, affectionate, and just the right amount of goofy. She’s looking for a family who will keep teaching her, keep her entertained, and most importantly, give her all the love and cuddles she deserves. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
