Description

Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Chihuahua / Mixed (medium coat). Luke & Leia: Little Puppies, Big Personalities! Meet Luke and Leia, an adorable pair of 8-week-old puppies looking for families ready for all the fun, learning, and work that comes with raising a puppy! Their mom was a Heeler (Cattle Dog) and their dad was a Chihuahua mix, so these little ones have a unique combination of breeds—and they may inherit some of those classic Cattle Dog traits. Cattle Dogs are smart, energetic, loyal, and incredibly driven. They often love having a job to do and can be quick learners, but that intelligence and energy also means they need plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, training, and guidance. Herding instincts can also show up as chasing, nipping, or trying to control movement, especially while they're young. Luke and Leia are pretty outgoing and ready to explore their world. At this age, they are still babies who have a LOT to learn: house training, crate training, leash manners, basic commands, appropriate play, and how to be polite members of the family. Early socialization and positive-reinforcement training will be incredibly important as they grow. And remember—puppies are adorable, but they are also a commitment! Families should be prepared for frequent potty breaks, puppy chewing, nighttime interruptions, training sessions, vet visits, and lots of patience. The tiny puppy you bring home today will grow into an adult dog, and with Luke and Leia's Cattle Dog heritage, their future family should be ready to keep their minds and bodies busy. If you're looking for a puppy who will grow alongside your family and you're ready to put in the time and training to help them become the best dogs they can be, Luke or Leia may be the little adventure buddy you've been waiting for! Few can resist a puppy. These adorable, soft bundles of energy are similar to four-legged children with tails. And like children, puppies need a lot of time, care, love, and patience. A puppy will depend on you for frequent and regular feedings and walks, for guidance and training, and for much of your time and your love. Before you plunge into puppy parenthood, make sure to research! There are many rewards to caring for a puppy, but there are also many requirements. Puppy classes are highly recommended for socialization and a positive transition into your home. Puppies love to learn how to be the best dog for your family! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. Your puppy’s adoption fee includes: - Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella) - Current on NexGard PLUS Monthly Preventative Chew (Flea/Tick/Heartworm Preventative & Dewormer) - Spaying or Neutering - 24-Petwatch Microchip Adoption fee: $235.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2026 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $11.30. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$9.30) All dogs come with free leash and collar.
