Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Available for Adoption! Meet Nadine! Nadine is an absolute gem! She is happy, quiet, well-mannered, obedient, affectionate, and incredibly gentle. She loves to cuddle, spend time with her family, and simply go with the flow. Nadine is wonderful with children, cats, and dogs. She is especially patient with kids—even allowing them to paint her nails and put ribbons in her fur! She greets new people with a happy hello and often offers her belly as a “handshake.” She’s easygoing, loving, and fits in wherever she goes. Nadine is truly a special girl who would make an amazing addition to any family. Nadine has had a vet visit, is spayed, Microchipped, UTD on all vaccinations, had a 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), 2 dewormings, and a 1 fecal test. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa, AZ., near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours 7 days a week. Private message if interested!

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
