Izzy - Golden Retriever Female Dog For Adoption in Mount Airy, North Carolina, USA

Dog Breed: Golden Retriever (medium coat).

Izzy is a very special girl who needs a loving and understanding home. She is a 3 1/2 year old Golden Retriever. Her owner got her from a shelter when she was a puppy. Her owner wasn't fond of her and then got really mad when she showed signs of food aggression. We got her out of that situation but 3.5 years is a long time to live with someone who doesn't really like you. Izzy does have food aggression with other dogs but it is something that we are working on with a trainer. She needs a new home without kids and possibly no other dogs. She also currently has Lyme disease that will make her sore and uncomfortable and maybe a little grumpy. We are looking for a foster home or a new forever home that understands a dog with food aggression and can help us train her that she will never be denied a meal. he is a beautiful girl and very friendly when not around food. She deserves a second chance from her rough beginnings. If you would like to meet her please fill out an application from our website.
