Mary Ann: Adoption pending - Mutt Female Dog For Adoption in Rustburg, Virginia, USA

Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (short coat).

There's no better way to learn about a dog than from the foster parent. Read what she said about Mary Ann: "I will probably never understand it. How in the world do some of the most perfect dogs end up in our shelter and NO ONE comes looking for them? Not long ago, this sweet girl came into the shelter as a stray. And no one has come looking for her. I brought her home to foster yesterday. I'm not exaggerating when I say that she is as perfect as a puppy can be. Thus far, she has respected Molly and Bobby's space. She has played with toys independently and has not destroyed any of them. If you can "catch" her after playtime and rest time, she will gladly potty outside. I'm pretty sure she even went to the door once. Could have been a coincidence but I praised her and took her out... And she went. So we'll call it a win either way. She whined a little bit when I put her in her crate to sleep last night. But she was in our bedroom with Molly and Bobby and me and soon settled and slept through the night. She is loving. She is sensitive. She wants to please. She is very intelligent. And she's an absolute doll. She wants very much to play with Molly and Bobby but respects their "no". She would probably love to have a dog to play with in her forever home. But if not, she has shown that she is quite capable of entertaining herself as well as playing with me. If she sounds like you're kind of girl, get that no obligation application in so that a time can be set up for you to come and meet her. You will not be sorry. She is seriously special.
