Jackie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Jackie is not hypoallergenic and does shed. Weight: 53 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, Jackie requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Jackie is a nearly two-year old Poodle/German Shepherd mix looking for her forever home. Since she was a breeder release beautiful Jackie needs a home where her human will be her constant companion and teacher. Her adopter needs the following in abundance, patience, love, understanding, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, calmness, and empathy. Jackie requires another dog in the home - for confidence building and behavior modeling. She has never lived without a canine companion. Jackie likes to be in the mix of that goes on and seems fearless. She would do well with a single adopter, or a couple. We haven't seen her interact with children, but our expectation is that she will love kids. After she has had time to settle in and adjust to her new home we expect she'll enjoy playtime with them. Jackie has a lot of hair, and you will need to comb/shed her often. What is my personality like? Jackie has only known life as part of a breeding program. She's learning what it means to be a companion and likes what she sees so far. Jackie will need leash training as she pulls very hard on her leash. She has a strong herd drive and will weave between your legs to herd you while walking on a leash. She will also need taught her basic commands like sit, stay, down, come, etc. Jackie needs a little time to warm up to new people, but she loves the attention she gets from them. She enjoys playing with toys so play time with people is best when toys are involved. Jackie gets along well with other big dogs and has done well with the few smaller dogs she's encountered here. We are not sure how she does with cats. She eats well and shows no signs of food guarding. How do I act when I first meet new people? Jackie can be a little nervous upon first meeting people, but she warms up quickly. She does well with both men and women, and we expect her to be fine with kids as well. Just give Jackie some time to adjust and learn and you'll soon be rewarded with a new BFF. Other tips and tidbits: Jackie was born on 6/29/2022. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.
