    Juliet - ON ...

    Breed: Siberian Husky
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Siberian Husky (long coat). .huskyrescueteam If you have additional questions please email infohuskyrescueteam I'm Juliet! I was turned into a shelter in Georgia by my owner. I use that word loosely since he sold my puppies and fed me such terrible food. See when you feed a Husky awful food it does bad things to our coats. But my foster Mom says she's got my coat back on track and I'm as beautiful as they come. I'm about five years old. That's a great age for a Husky you know. At this age we don't crazy high energy levels and we prefer to hang out with our peoples more than running for miles. I'm a pretty low key gal but am a total hoot! I have a comical personality I love treats and to be pet. I'd like a home where someone will dote on me with maybe one other dog but I'm also okay to be by myself. And get this.... If you slowly introduce your cat to me I'll even be buddies with them! I'm not very vocal, I'm potty trained and I'm crate trained. I'd even be fine in an apartment as long as I get walked regularly. The rescue has treated the nasty heartworms I had and will be making my teeth pretty again. A girl's gotta have a nice smile. If you give me love, I'll be your gal for a lifetime. I'll be hanging out here in Georgia in my foster home until you're ready to be my forever family. Please apply today and my rescue will drive me up to MD or NJ to meet you! Video - .facebook/susan.williams.505/videos/1764324667029898/ ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at .huskyrescueteam/apply If you have additional questions please email infohuskyrescueteam

    Amblin - ON ...

    rescue
    Breed: Siberian Husky
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Siberian Husky (long coat). .huskyrescueteam If you have additional questions please email infohuskyrescueteam Hey everyone! Meet Amblin. Amblin was brought into a high kill shelter in GA as a stray. We were then informed his owners were coming to reclaim him. But no one came. He was scheduled to be euthanized without rescue commitment yesterday at 3pm. How could we let that happen? So we pulled together some last minute resources and found a place for Amblin to stay until he can find his forever home. It was tough because we have so many dogs in rescue already, but he is SAFE! Amblin is missing part of his lip... But ya know what? We think that adds character. Each of our guys have a story to tell... But we promise each they'll have a happy ending. Welcome to the H-E-A-R-T pack, AMBLIN! This guy is so much fun and has tons of energy. He plays from the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to sleep. He is crate trained, potty trained and your classic young husky. He is eager to please and food motivated. He does have puppy manners so we're working with him not to jump up or to play bite. Until he can be broken of those we suggest a home with no older dogs and no younger children. Amblin would be great for someone who is very active. PUPDATE from his Foster Mom, 7/25/18: "Amblin has been with us for a little over a month now, and has really settled in, and his real personality is starting to shine. Ambi came to us completely as a complete wild child!! No training, and 100% husky to the max, but you can tell there was some frightened feelings there lurking behind his happy puppy persona. We have given him love and stability, and shown him with a real home and family is. He now knows he no longer has to worry about food and water, although he still tries to scavenge droplets off blades of grass! We have been working diligently on proper manners, how to be gentle, and how to play nicely with his foster brothers. Although he occasionally forgets sometimes, he really is trying, and man does he want to please his people! He looks to us for approval and love, always. One trait that not all huskies have is the snuggle bug, but our little boy sure has it. When he finally has worn down his batteries he loves to snuggle up on the couch with you, it’s quite a lovely feeling. In true husky fashion Amblin loves to run around and chase things, and he loves to play catch. It is highly recommended that his new family have a fenced yard. He is still very young and will need lots of attention and activity to keep him occupied. Because of his energy level and excitement, it best to go to home with no small children, or senior dogs." VIDEO: m.facebook/story.php?story_fbid=375734279586667&id=284429992050430 Amblin will be making his way to his foster home in Maryland the middle of June. It's your applications in today! ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. Okami

    rescue
    Breed: Siberian Husky
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Siberian Husky / Alaskan Malamute (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 285. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi! My name is Okami and I’ve been told I’m a very handsome boy. I mostly respond to Frost, but will respond to any name if you have a treat in your hand! I’m currently in training because I’m not very fond of sharing my toys but I’m learning that sharing can be fun. I’m a really smart doggie. I know commands like sit, shake, lay down, and I LOVE playing fetch!! I also walk really well on leash if you ask me to. The cold weather doesn’t bother me at all; I love rolling around in the snow and would love a yard to play in. I need slow introductions to dogs and would prefer a home without cats. I would also do best in a home without kids since I’m still working on my sharing. A home with somebody who has breed experience or a very experienced dog owner would be best, I need someone who is willing to continue everything I learn in training at home. In return I will provide you with endless doggie kisses and snuggles. Please stop by and meet me, I would love to go for a walk and give you a million reasons to fall in love with. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. The Petfinder system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.

    Chena

    rescue
    Breed: Siberian Husky
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Siberian Husky (short coat). Please note we do NOT adopt to homes with small animals including small dogs. No Exceptions. Also Norsled does not adopt outside the Northern California/ Central California area. Siberian Husky Chena is a lovable, 35 pound pocket-sized husky of about a year to two years old. He is very energetic and would benefit from residing with an avid runner/hiker or another high energy dog with room to roam. He loves car rides, dog parks, belly rubs, chasing balls/stuffed toys, and the company of other dogs and humans. He is house-trained and understands most basic verbal commands, such as sit and down, though he needs training to "heel", and when distracted, is reluctant to "come". Chena pulls a bit on the leash but when you stop he stops and looks back at you. When other dogs walk by he wants to approach them but does not bark at them especially smaller dogs. Chena seems to get along with most dogs and loves to play. He is a delightful little boy who thrives on attention and activity. He will jump in your arms if you start making a fuss over him. Chena is full of puppy energy and is just the sweetest dog, but don't take our word, come meet him and see! If you are interested in any of the dogs, the first step is to fill out an adoption questionnaire found on our website and email it back to rescuenorsled.

He is very treat motivated and clearly has not missed many meals. He is quite the character and very energetic. He plays rough and is a little reactive to some dogs. Ellis is about 3-4 years old and weighs about 72 lbs. He apparently lived outside in his previous home and did not even know his own name. He is a silly boy who is goofy and fun loving. Ellis loves belly rubs. He will make a great companion to someone who can train him and show him lots of love and patience. Claire

    Breed: Siberian Husky
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Siberian Husky (short coat). Please note we do NOT adopt to homes with small animals including small dogs. No Exceptions. Also Norsled does not adopt outside the Northern California/ Central California area. Siberian Husky Claire's a very sweet, gentle, 5-year old, 50-pound, female, Siberian Husky with two ice-blue eyes and three freckles on her nose. She came to NorSled as an animal cruelty victim who'd never been allowed inside, even during prolonged 105 degree heat, lived in filthy conditions, had enough blown coat to create a plethora of Chihuahuas and not enough food to keep her at a good weight of 55-60 pounds. She preferred to stay just out of reach of her humans and definitely needed to be on lead to catch her, but once on lead, was gentle and don't pull. And just turn on the sprinklers to watch her go crazy playing. She preferred to go potty outside, learned how to use the doggie door quickly, so could be allowed to stay indoors during the day, and got along well with four other furry companions; a Pug, two Terriers and a Chihuahua. At the time of her rescue, NorSled had Claire fully vetted, including spay, shots, heartworm testing and microchip. Update: 08/28 -- Claire's personality has come alive. She wants to be with her humans and will curl up on the floor to be next to them. If it's evening and you're sitting on the couch or chair, she'll come over for hugs and petting (although she still comes on her own terms). She's remains sensitive about petting her sides, but that only involves her pulling away and is lessening as time goes on. She's learned that treats are for fun, waits for her share and now eats when her humans are in the room. Although she still loves playing with the other small dogs in the home, she'd definitely like a larger friend to run and play with and would make a fantastic jogging companion. To learn more about how to foster or adopt any of our current, awesome, NorSled family, contact please NorSled at RescueNorSled or call 800-471-5822. For more information on how to adopt Claire, contact her foster mom at ofkiltratt or call 530-701-6711. Ansel will stand on his back legs and give a hug. He knows sit, down and paw very well. Ansel pulls a bit on the leash but loves his walks and gets excited at first but soon calms down. Although Ansel had a sibling brother he did well with, he is very picky about other dogs and if they are up to snuff for him to hang out with. So he may do better as an only dog.
