Want to adopt a Baby Basset Hound dog near EL CAJON, California, USA area

My husband and I are empty nesters, so our dogs are our life. We have two basset hounds. We have been blessed with an older basset hound named Gemma who is 10 and Ruby is 4. We are wanting to bring a puppy into our pack so that Gemma can help us raise this puppy right. Gemma is older and she has been the most amazing teacher for Ruby. Ruby is still very puppylike and wants to play and be rough. Gemma is still very active, but not as playful as Ruby would like her to be. Our new addition will help ease the pressure on Gemma from Ruby needing a playmate. I work for Hills Science Diet so our dogs eat the very best. We own our home with a big fenced in yard. We have been married for 18 years. Both dogs see our vet regularly and have been fixed and up to date on vaccinations.
