verifiedPosted Breed: English Springer Spaniel / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Are you looking for a great companion dog? Well look no further. This handsome boy loves people of all ages! Splash is a gentle dog who gets along with all dogs but does prefer to be with playful but well behaved dogs. We don't know how he would be with cats. He is about 3 yrs old and weighs between 65-70 lbs. He kind of looks like a mix of English Springer Spaniel with the personality of a Labrador Retriever. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, micro chipped and on monthly heart worm and flea preventative. He loves water and did we mention he LOVES to be with people! He would do good with another low keyed dog or even as an only dog . If in an only dog home, it needs to be one where his owner has the time and desire to devote to him. If in a working household where his family is gone most of the day, he would prefer to be outside in the fresh air opposed to being locked up inside in a crate all day. Of course he would need a secure fence around the yard for his safety. He needs some leash training and basic command training but with a little work and patience, Splash has the makings of becoming a great loyal companion. If you are drawn to this big guy, please email ARNT at email@example.com for a pre-adoption questionnaire which is the first step in the adoption process. Because a home visit is required in order to check out the fence around the property, he is only available for adoption in the immediate DFW area. His adoption fee is $150.

verifiedPosted Breed: Springer Spaniel / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Hello! My name is Gwen! I am a sweet and active 6 year-old Springer Spaniel/Lab mix, who is always smiling. I was dumped with her mom in the middle of a highway median 3 years ago and my mom got adopted right away. People here in TX are prejudice and don't like black dogs too much, which we just can’t see why, since I just LOVE hanging out with my humans where ever you are. I love going for walks and loves to play with her people. I will stick by your side and will be happy just to follow you around while you do chores or work around the house. I am house trained and crate trained. I am pretty picky about my doggy friends and would prefer to be your main doggy squeeze, rather than share the limelight, but I can tolerate a submissive personality and dog larger than me, that doesn't bark incessantly and that is larger than me. (I don't like the dainty, noisy foo foo dogs) I do not like being left alone in the yard by myself and I am afraid of thunder storms and fireworks. I would prefer a family with a stay-at-home or work-at-home parent or a retired, active person, so I can hang out with you all day. I get along better with polite older kids. Gwen does get along with cats. L&S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with Paws Without Borders and other rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate.
