Hey there, I'm located in Mt Hope Alabama. We raise ASDR registered small minis and large toy Australian Shepherds. We get families from all over the country to love our puppies! Toy vs mini a mini is 14 to 18 in from the ground to the top of the shoulder and a toy is 14 inches or less. Not by weight but by height. All my dogs are Genetic health tested and color tested. MINI Hattie- 15.3 inch 34lb blue merle female from Wlydrose Aussies. She has the best temperament and loves to ride and be on the farm and on the couch! BO-15.2 inch 33lb black tri with double blue eyes male from Cross L Aussies in Oregon. Bo is stunning. Perfect head and ears and conformation. His personality is the sweetest to boot! Loves everyone and to swim! price- tris 1000-1500 merles-2000-2500 These are pet prices and come with Asdr Limited registration without breeding availability. All our puppies have tails and dewclaws removed and will be vet checked and health checked and have age appropriate vaccines and dewormings. They come registration packets and puppy packs with food samples. Deposits are 300 and due immediately to hold puppy until pick up when the remaining balance is due. The Miniature Australian Shepherd, often affectionately called a "Mini Aussie," is a highly intelligent and energetic breed originating from the American West, though its ancestors were indeed Australian herding dogs. Physically, they are a smaller version of the standard Australian Shepherd, sporting a beautiful double coat that comes in various striking colors and patterns, including merle, black, and red, often with white and copper markings. Their bright, expressive eyes are a hallmark feature. Temperamentally, they are known for being exceptionally loyal, eager to please, and highly trainable, making them excel in dog sports like agility and obedience. While generally good with children and other pets when properly socialized, their herding instincts can sometimes manifest in nipping or "herding" behaviors. Due to their high energy levels and need for mental stimulation, they are best suited for active families who can provide ample exercise and training; apartment living is generally not ideal unless the owners are committed to daily vigorous activity. Health-wise, they are generally robust, but potential concerns include certain eye conditions (like Collie Eye Anomaly) and hip or elbow dysplasia, making responsible breeding practices crucial.
